Accel Research Sites Network, which operates clinical trial sites in the southern U.S., has expanded its operations with the addition of two sites in Florida.
As part of a recent acquisition, Accel adds trial sites in Ormond Beach and Edgewater, bringing the total number of the company’s locations to 25, according to an April 20 press release.
Financial terms of the sale weren’t disclosed.
The two new sites located in the central Florida region will help provide treatment options to underserved communities.
The new sites are known for clinical trials focused on women’s health, migraine, dermatology, osteoarthritis, blood/specimen collections, pulmonology, diabetes, hypertension and hyperlipidemia. Each has access to a local lab and two area imaging facilities.
Accel, which also has locations Alabama and Georgia, picks up six principal investigators and clinical staff members as part of the deal.
