Clinerion, a Swiss trial recruitment specialist, is partnering with electronic health records software company Medsoft to expand its reach in the country of Georgia.
Medsoft, which is based in Tbilisi, Georgia, has a decade’s worth of experience in eHealth and supports hospitals and other healthcare institutions in the country with technology. The company boasts more than 40 hospitals and medical centers in the country that use its software.
The company’s Medwork hospital information system (HIS) is integrated with the Georgian Ministry of Health, financial systems, and laboratory information systems that provide smoother and more effective information management, according to a release.
Under the partnership, Medsoft will support Clinerion in integrating hospitals in the country into Clinerion’s international network of partner hospitals using its Patient Network Explorer platform. Financial terms of the agreement weren’t disclosed.
“As a HIS provider with a strong presence in Georgia, we consider Medsoft an important partner in our expansion in the region, enabling Clinerion to reach more patients,” Ian Rentsch, Clinerion’s chief executive, said in a statement.
Just last week, Clinerion announced a partnership with Citeline as part of an effort to give clinical researchers a more comprehensive approach to making evidence-based decisions.
