Worldwide Clinical Trials appointed Karen Nowatkoski as VP of clinical operations and site management to oversee the clinical operations team, including managers and clinical research associates.
Nowatkoski joined Worldwide with two decades of experience working within clinical operations at major CROs. She came to Worldwide after a four-year stint at Parexel as senior director of clinical operations. She also spent more than 14 years in clinical operations at Quintiles (now QuintilesIMS) before joining New Jersey-based business operations service company Cognizant in 2013 as a director for clinical operations, her LinkedIn page shows.
With that history, Nowatkoski told FierceCRO that she is confident her “past experience managing large global teams, process improvement and change management strategies will prepare Worldwide to maintain its best-in-class position.”
She brought “a wealth of experience in process/system development and implementation, global project management and delivery, business development and pricing support,” the company said in a release.
Jeffery Zucker, Worldwide’s SVP of clinical operations, site management and trial optimization, in the statement praised Nowatkoski as “a collaborative leader with a clear sense of where we need to go, with an action-oriented mindset.”
“She is a well-known industry expert, experienced in change management, which is required when working within our dynamic industry, and is also well versed in every facet of site management,” Zucker said of Nowatkoski.
Worldwide, headquartered in Morrisville, North Carolina, currently employs more than 1,400 people at 25 facilities, with clinical operations in more than 60 countries.
